Senior Capstone

Role: UI Designer, Visual Designer

Tools: Trello Board, InVision

Project Overview:

To design a mobile application that will create an impact in the community. Must work collaboratively with 5 groupmates and manage tasks through Trello Board while practicing Agile Management methodologies. The finished product should include a high fidelity interactive prototype using the platform InVision.

My Contributions:

My main role was to brainstorm ideas for impactful mobile applications, help create wireframes from task flows, and work flows. After the creation of wireframes, I worked closely with my groupmate Jake and together we designed the prototype. I chose the theme and fonts, making sure style guidelines are aligned throughout the full application. At the end, I also made sure that the buttons, icons, and image blocks all made sense in order to depict an efficient navigation.

Why did we choose this mobile application?

We decided to choose an action that is utilized routinely. Cooking can be very difficult if you are a beginner, this idea can not only help you cook delicious food but save time as well. The main priority when assembling each page was efficiency and convenience. It can also be served as a gallery to show ones cooking or/and recipes which is available to anyone using this application. This can not only help those with low experience of cooking but excel those with intermediate skill.

Hi-Fi Prototype:

Below we have the full gallery of screens that will be implemented to the final interactive prototype. After discussion we decided to remove 5 screens because we all agreed they were extra and unneccessary.

Final Interactive Prototype:

Below we have the final working interactive prototype:
